"Are you ready for some football?!"  Are you ready for some boozing?!  Well it's about freaking time San Diego!  With the Chargers finally arriving upon a decent team one can actually go to a Sports Bar in San Diego and find Chargers fans, not just fans of the opposing teams.  With the growth of local sports fans has brought a number of new sports bars in San Diego as well as TV's being added to just about every San Diego bar in an effort to capture this rowdy, pitcher-guzzling daytime boozing crowd.  So throw on your favorite player's jersey, paint that face, and get ready to rip beers and whore out high fives all afternoon!  Let's check out some kick-ass San Diego Sports Bars!

Sandbar: This bi-level San Diego Sports Bar is known for having dozens of huge flatscreens to satisfy any Sunday afternoon fan.  This San Diego bar is great for watching sports because of the open-air rooftop bar (smoking allowed) is a fully equipped Sports Bar with some of the best bar food in town.  The Sandbar in Mission Beach is a definite local bar that fills up by 11am on game days, early arrival is strongly suggested if you want a table in this Sports Bar.

Lucys Tavern: Hot bartenders in skimpy referee outfits attract the locals on game days to this Ocean Beach Sports Bar.  Although this San Diego Sports Bar lacks a kitchen, there is always popcorn and pool tables to keep any sports nut occupied while having a touchdown cheers.

East Village Tavern and Bowl:  Located just a few blocks north of Petco Park, this Downtown San Diego Sports Bar and Bowling Alley is one of the latest additions in response to the San Diego nightlife boom near the baseball stadium.  This brand new Sports Bar in San Diego has already been praised by many for having the best bar food with their menu having been created by Kevin Roberts.  Know as "The Food Dude," Roberts has taken has created a masterpiec out of traditional bar munchies.

Australian Pub:  Also called the Aussie Pub, this San Diego Sports Bar caters to more types of sports junkies by featuring rugby and Aussie football matches.  Great wings and plenty of pool tables makes this Pacific Beach Sports Bar a must for any rugby fan.

Shakespeare Pub:  This San Diego English Pub fills up all hours of the night during the World Cup of Soccer with locals and foreigners with one thing in common... they like to watch soccer while getting a booze on.  As one of the only Sports Bars in Mission Hills, this San Diego Pub attracts locals who appreciate ale and traditional English cuisine in an environment that makes you feel in like you're in bloody ole England.

Nicky Rottens:  Don't let the "mafia-style" bar fool you because the service is great at this San Diego Sports Bar.  Home to some of the best bar food in the Gaslamp Quarter, Nicky Rotten's is a stylish sports bar with a great tap beer selection.

Millers Field:  This pimped-out, plasma-ridden San Diego sports bar is brand spankin new to the beach bar scene.  Although this area of the beach is already saturated with sports bars, Millers Field in Pacific Beach has already become a locals favorite PB sports bar on game days.  Fans pack this PB bar for more than just the dozen huge tv's, but the "plates and pints" are top notch.  A wide selection of beers on tap and wicked bar food (better than those other Garnet bars) will make Millers Field sports bar a mainstay in Pacific Beach.
