This pimped-out brand new bowling alley and sports bar is one of the hottest bars in San Diego right now.  If you like bowling but avoid bowling alleys because of weird, big lebowski type crowd then East Village Tavern and Bowl is the spot for you.  But don't worry because you can still get your fill of filthy bowlers on the bigscreens because movies like Kingpin and Big Lebowski are always running for your amusement. Located just a few blocks from Petco Park in Downtown San Diego, East Village Tavern and Bowl has the best food in any bowling alley on earth... no joke!  The menu was created by Kevin Roberts (aka The Food Dude)  who is tremendously growing in popularity because of his incredibly manly recipes.  Roberts has taken bar food such as wings and potatoe skins and morphed them into heavenly creations without holding back any testosterone!  The end result is natures perfect man-fuel that will give you what you need to roll strike after strike!

It's a pretty cool place since you now can go bowling in Downtown San Diego. It's the first of it's kind and it is always a bit too packed for my liking. I suspect that another bowling alley will soon be opening in downtown San Diego. It looks like the place is expanding and adding more lanes... this will definitely help with the crowds.
