The Filling Station in Miramar is one of the nastiest bars in San Diego. If you can pass the metal detectors (no joke!) and pocket search at the door, you will be welcomed by purple lights reminiscent of a strip club, swarms of marines, and some seriously fat hoochies. Apparently the drink of choice at this bar is a pitcher of beer… that’s right, just order one for yourself and drink right out of the pitcher and you’ll fit right in at this dive bar. On a lighter note, ridiculous karaoke and free pool tables and darts make this place worth checking out if you are in the neighborhood. You may not have much of a choice since this is one of the only bars in Miramar!
